The MD/MPH dual degree is designed to prepare students to lead at the nexus of health care and public health with the Health Systems in the Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Context MPH concentration. Students will learn to understand the utility of how data can inform community-responsive interventions that target underlying factors influencing community health across the continuum of public health and healthcare. Students will also learn to communicate health information effectively, advocate for data-driven healthcare and health systems interventions, and utilize data to develop community-responsive interventions that target the underlying factors influencing community health across the continuum of public health and healthcare.
The MD/MPH dual degree will allow students to concurrently earn a Master of Public Health through UT School of Public Health San Antonio and an MD through the Long School of Medicine. A student must be accepted to both the School of Public Health and School of Medicine to be eligible for this dual degree program.
