Post-Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education Overview

Program Overview

Graduate-prepared nurses interested in obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education must complete a minimum of 15 semester credit hours towards their certificate. The program of study includes required core courses in nursing education. To graduate, a student must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0, at least a 3.0 average in nursing courses, no more than one C in a required course, and no incomplete grades.

Course Delivery

The program is approved for hybrid delivery, meaning 50-85% of the program will be in-person. The program is designed to be completed in three semesters of part-time study. Most courses are only offered one semester of the academic year, including summers. Students will take courses as indicated on the program plan. Clinical preceptorships will be required throughout the program. Students have six years to complete a graduate or professional program under the catalog in effect when they initially registered.
