Step 1: Meeting Admissions Requirements

NursingCAS Application
is the only application required for admission to the Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï School of Nursing. Applicants must pay two application fees to submit their application:
- School of Nursing application fee
- NursingCAS application fee
The School of Nursing application fee is $45 (non-refundable), and the link to pay the fee is accessed through the NursingCAS Application under the Questions tab in the Program Materials section.
The NursingCAS application fee is set by NursingCAS and will be paid when you submit your application.
We highly encourage applicants to attend a BSN Information Session where one of our Admissions Officers will guide you through the NursingCAS application and coach you on the steps of the admissions process. NursingCAS also provides the following resources:
Transcripts
Official transcripts must be sent to NursingCAS from every U.S. college or university you have attended. NursingCAS must receive all official transcripts no later than 10:59 p.m. Central Standard Time on the day of the deadline.

TEAS Exam Score Report
Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï must receive your official TEAS exam score report from ATI Testing no later than 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on the day of the deadline. ATI Testing lists our name as "U of TX Health San Antonio." Scores sent through your NursingCAS application or other means will not be considered.
Credit by Examination Score Report
If an applicant has earned academic credit through any of the following, Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï must receive the official score report no later than 5 p.m. Central Standard Time on the day of the deadline.
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP) subejct exams
- Advanced Placement (AP) exams
- International Baccalaureate (IB) exams
- DANTES exams

Letter of Good Standing
Applicants who previously enrolled in a nursing school or program must provide a letter of good standing from their previous school indicating that the applicant is in good standing and eligible to return to that nursing school or program. The Office of Admissions at the School of Nursing must receive the letter by the admissions deadline, and it should be uploaded to the Documents tab in the Program Materials section of the NursingCAS application
Foreign Coursework & Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Applicants who have attended a foreign college are required to submit an official course-by-course foreign evaluation from an approved . This evaluation must be mailed directly from the credentialing agency to:

If an applicant has only attended colleges outside of the United States, they will be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to be considered for admission to the School of Nursing.
Scores must be less than two years old and received by the Office of Admissions by the application deadline. Please send official score reports to:

Step 3: Interview & Writing Sample
Please be advised that applicants will be required to complete an embedded online interview, along with a writing sample, as part of the application process within Nursing CAS (Centralized Application Service for Nursing Programs). All final admissions decisions will be sent via email from the Office of Admissions.
