In San Antonio, a city ranking among the top five nationally for DWI arrests, researchers are using transdermal alcohol sensors to help reduce drinking among DWI offenders. The ankle or wrist monitors, which measure ethanol in sweat, allow for continuous monitoring without clinic visits. This technology represents a new approach to making health interventions more accessible.
