My Role with Students and Residents at Long School of Medicine
I teach 1st and 2nd year medical students in small groups as a Synthesis Facilitator and will also be a Clinical Skills Alternate Facilitator. I teach 3rd and 4th year students when they are on their clinical rotations in the hospital for Internal Medicine. I have also spent many years as the director of our Veritas student mentoring program. I find mentoring medical students one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
Three Fun Facts About Me
- I am married to a physician (he does pulmonary/critical care in private practice).
- We have two teen daughters, a therapy dog, a cat, a pony, a hamster and a cute but destructive rabbit who rules the house.
- I am learning to play the guitar but finding it surprisingly difficult to make the time to diligently practice.
